Child Care during Worship on Sunday mornings.
Birth – 3 years old: Nursery care is provided during both worship services. Check in at the Guest Table in the sanctuary narthex for details.
Nursery care is also provided for children 4-6 years old after the children’s message in worship. They are chaperoned to the Hendricks building, room 307 and cared for by nursery staff during the remainder of worship.
Please start the process of keeping children older than 6 or 7 years old (depending on child’s developmental maturity) in the worship service. A worship class is held once a month for these young children to educate them about all aspects of the worship service and how they can participate. At WCPC, children are welcome in worship and encouraged to participate.

Pre-K- 1st Grade This class uses the Walk with Me curriculum to learn age-appropriate stories from both the Old and New Testaments. They hear Godly Play stories twice a month and learn simple prayers and songs.
This class studies Sparkhouse Classroom curriculum, which covers the entire Bible in two years. Children hear Godly Play stories twice a month and have music instruction with the Director of Music Ministries twice a month. Annually, our third graders are presented with a Bible from the church.
Children use Spark Connect curriculum to learn stories from the Old and New Testament. Godly Play stories and music instruction with the Director of Music Ministries alternate weeks.
Tweens have special monthly social/fellowship opportunities planned by the parents of this age group. Tweens enjoy annual special events, seasonal parties, hikes, mission projects and more.
If you have a heart for children, we hope you will consider volunteering with the Children’s Ministry team here at WCPC.
In order to create a safe environment for our children, all volunteers are required to complete a background check and complete the Child Protection training.
Our preschool staff is committed to inspiring the wonder of God, His world, and self in every child through playful discovery. We believe that these early years have the power to spark faith, ignite understanding and embolden leaders to shine bright in the world.
God’s favor and hand have been with us since the beginning of ELP in 1991. To learn more about this cornerstone of our community, click on this link to our preschool’s website.
A variety of age-appropriate summer camps are available each summer. Opportunities to attend Presbyterian-affiliated day camps, overnight camps, family camps, and conferences are offered each summer.
For more information, visit the facility website or check with the church office or other parents for times when others might be planning to attend.
